Psychology and Counseling & Guidance Faculty
Kristen Kane
I have been working at CGCC since 1997. I began and continue to work as an Academic Advisor. The first class I taught was CG 100 (College Survival and Success) in 1998. I began teaching Psychology classes in 1999. I also occasionally teach CG 111 (College Study Skills). Currently I teach the majority of my classes online or as hybrids. I have come to enjoy teaching online classes; I still get to know the students in my courses, but love the freedom that online teaching has given me. I have been trained and certified as a Peer Reviewer, Master Reviewer and Peer Reviewer Trainer for Quality Matters,
a nationally recognized program that focuses on a peer-based approach to quality assurance and continuous improvement in online education. My PSY 215 course was recognized by Quality Matters in 2008 and my CG 100 class was recognized in 2009.
Born and raised in Canada, I have lived in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia. I finally moved to the US in 1995 when I met and married a great guy from The Dalles. |
