English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Faculty
Alexandra Faizulaeva-Smith
My name is Alexandra Faizulaeva-Smith, or Sasha Smith for short. I came to the United States as an international student from a small Central Asian country of Tajikistan, when I was 18 years old. Currently, I live with my husband in Hood River, where we moved in the summer of 2008 from Monterey, California. We enjoy this small, cozy town with its unique, fantastic community! We like to spend time outdoors: biking, hiking, backpacking and simply walking. Hood River is truly a perfect place for it, with its fresh air and breath-taking views. I am teaching an ESL class at the CGCC campus in Hood River. I couldn't ask for better students and faculty members to work with. I love my students and every time we meet, I hope to inspire them in their language-learning quest. I consider myself lucky to be a part of the CGCC, Hood River and the United States community. |
