PART TIME POSITIONS:
Nursing/Health Occupations Department
P/T Medical Assisting Instructor:
Assists the Medical Assisting Program Director in the classroom, lab experience, and/or during externship experiences in the clinical setting as assigned. Possesses and applies knowledge of professional standards and state guidelines relevant to the performance of course content. Associate degree or higher; Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or RMA with permission); 3 years experience as a medical assistant in an ambulatory care setting. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in a medical assisting training program. Salary: $43.62/$33.24/$21.28 per hour depending on work/teaching assigned. P/T Nursing Clinical Instructor:
Collaborates with the Nursing Program Faculty in organizing and carrying out structured learning processes for students in the Nursing Program. Responsibilities may include clinical and/or skills lab as assigned by the Director of Nursing & Health Occupations. Participates in professional and college-related activities as directed. Possesses and applies knowledge of professional standards and state guidelines relevant to the performance of nursing instruction. BSN or enrolled in a BSN preparation program; current, unencumbered Oregon RN License; current CPR for Healthcare Provider card. Additional preferred: Current, unencumbered Washington RN license. Two years current nursing practice required (acute care preferred). Salary: $33.24/hr for clinical instruction and $21.28/hr for meeting/non-instructional time. Developmental Education Instructor:
This position will provide instruction in Developmental Education: Reading, Writing and/or Math and performing other instruction-related activities including assessment, curriculum development, and program evaluation. Requires a Master’s degree in an appropriate educational field (for example, special/ developmental/ adult education, reading, writing, or English) and experience working with underprepared students (DE Math or English), OR a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate educational field (for example, special/ developmental/ adult education, reading, writing, or English) three years equivalent full-time teaching experience in reading, writing, or English within grade 9 through adult (DE English). Minimum one year of instructional duties within Developmental Ed Reading or Writing. Experience working at the community college level preferred.
